Financial Aid Policies

Learn about financial aid policies at ballbet体育.

U.S. Department of Education regulations require the disclosure of general information to help students and families make better-informed decisions about higher education. This page acts as a guide to sources of consumer information, University of Maryland Global Campus policies, and disclosures related to financial aid as required under the Higher Education Opportunity Act and other legislation.

Additional descriptions of available Federal, state, institutional, and outside sources of assistance, eligibility criteria, methods of disbursement, terms and conditions of loans, and employment opportunities are available in the costs and aid and financial aid sections of the ballbet体育 website. Additional consumer disclosure information can be found in the consumer disclosures and policies section of the ballbet体育 website.

Financial Aid Forms and Procedures

All students wishing to receive Federal or state funds must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students may be asked to submit documentation such as tax returns, birth certificates, citizenship information, Social Security cards, and/or other items needed to verify financial or dependency status.

Students who do not wish to submit requested documentation will not receive a financial aid award. Students who have a completed file—meaning all requested documents have been submitted to ballbet体育's Office of Financial Aid (OFA)—are considered for financial aid.

The FAFSA is available online and requires use of a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID). OFA does not have any paper versions of the FAFSA. If you need a paper application, please contact the Department of Education directly at 800-4-FED-AID. If you are hearing-impaired and need assistance, contact the Department of Education TTY line at 800-730-8913. On your application, please include ballbet体育's school code: 011644.

ballbet体育 does not require an additional application other than the FAFSA to apply for Federal or state student financial aid. However, students who want to apply for a ballbet体育 scholarship need to complete a separate scholarship application.

Certain OFA forms must be accessed through the to-do list in your Myballbet体育 account. The remainder are available for download from our forms web page.

FAFSA Verification

ballbet体育 must verify the information provided by students, parents, legal guardians, and/or spouses on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA). The Department of Education requires that ballbet体育 adhere to Federal guidelines for reviewing financial aid applications. Some student applications are selected by the Department of Education for verification. Universities also have the option of selecting students for verification.

If selected for verification, you will be required to submit additional documentation to ballbet体育. ballbet体育's Office of Financial Aid (OFA) will notify you via e-mail to log in to your Myballbet体育 account. Additionally, OFA will update your to-do list in your Myballbet体育 account with the requirements. Your Myballbet体育 account will describe, in real time, any information requested by ballbet体育 Financial Aid.

After you submit documents for review, your account may display conflicting information. If this occurs, OFA will reach out to you to resolve the conflicting information by requesting additional documentation.

For more information on FAFSA verification, please review ballbet体育's complete FAFSA verification policy and watch Financial Aid TV.
